Private Hire Pool Terms & Conditions:

EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THESE RULES PLEASE!
Booking Rules
- By paying for a slot, the payee accepts these T&Cs in full. The individual that pays (payee) enters into an agreement with SMART SWIM SCHOOL.
- No refunds will be given for any cancellations. A future poolhire credit will be offered in unforeseen circumstances.
- Any damages at all, must be paid for in full by the lead hirer / person booking the private session.
- If SMART SWIM has to shut the pool, a full refund or an alternative slot will be offered.
- You may not hire the pool for someone else to use.
Pool Use Rules
The pool temperature will be between 30-32 degrees.
- The pool is 1.8 meters in the deep end and diving is prohibited.
- Each slot is 60 mins, which includes the changing time. Please do not be late. Do not allow children to peek through the glass doors of people in before you.
- ALL aged 3 and under need a swim nappy under swimsuit
- KEEP ALL DOORS CLOSED AT ALL TIMES. If the doors are left open it affects our buildings’ delicate heating system and increases costs.
- Please ensure you shower and use the loo before entering the pool. Perfumes, body lotions must be removed.
- NO SWIMMING IF ILL or with anything contagious: diarrhoea, vomiting(no swimming for two weeks afterwards), conjunctivitis, impetigo, verrucas, fever, cough, cold, open sores and wounds, any infections or any other contagious illnesses.
- We have a NO toerance policy with regards to our equipment being used. The cameras are regularrly checked by staff and if found to be breaking the terms and conditions in any way, especially using Smart Swim equipment,you will be banned from hiring the pool again.
- NO food allowed into the building. Drinks in plastic bottles only (no alcohol).
- NO smoking is allowed in anywhere on the premises.
- Please DO NOT use talcum powder in the change rooms
- Please mop up after our swim, leave pool as you found it.
- Notify the owners immediately of any damage to the pool or equipment, or of any incident during your swim.
- Please leave the change rooms clean and tidy. All rubbish should be taken home.
- Turn off ALL the lights when you leave.
Pool Safety
- PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE WILL BE NO LIFEGUARD PRESENT. HIRE OF THE POOL AT SMART SWIM IS COMPLETELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. RISK OF DROWNING. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES. Children may not use the pool without adults.
- No lone swimmers. Min of two adults at all times, maximum of 8 please.
- No horseplay, ie. pushing others into the pool or dive bombing.
- No running around the pool
- No one is to use the pool under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Do not eat for at least an hour before you swim.
- The reach pole and throw rope bag are for emergency use only.
- Please ensure all exits and fire exits are kept clear at all times. Please bring a mobile phone in case of an emergency.
Security & Belongings
- All parked cars, including contents left, are left solely at the owner’s own risk. Management will not accept liability for any accidents, loss or damages incurred while the car is in the car park.
- CCTV is in place at the premises. CCTV is for crime prevention and safeguarding
- The garden is used entirely at your own risk.
- Please check that you have not left anything behind after your session. No responsibility can be accepted for things left behind. All lost property will be disposed of and cannot be kept.
Sickness and Illness
Please do NOT come swimming if you has a cough, fever or feels unwell within themselves.
You should come swimming if you feel poorly or could be contagious in any way – this includes
- Stomach bug or any vomiting and diarrhoea – NHS Guidelines state that anyone with vomiting or the runs should not come swimming for TWO WEEKS post last episode – even if they are feeling better. This is to prevent the spread of waterborne infections.
- Colds, flu – Fever, green snot, feeling unwell, no sleep.
- Chicken pox – Until the last spot has scabbed over.
- Slap cheek – Until given the all clear by GP
- Tonsillitis – Until given the all clear by GP
- Viral rashes – Until given the all clear by GP
- Hand, foot and mouth – Until given the all clear by GP
- Impetigo – 48 hours after antibiotic cream.
- Croup – Until given the all clear by GP
- Urinary infection – 48 hours after antibiotics and feeling well.
- Conjunctivitis – 48 hours after antibiotic cream.
- Verruca – without a verruca sock.
- Please can EVERYONE follow these guidelines to keep each other safe.
